Supporting Widows
THROUGH GRIEF AND WHAT COMES NEXT
Finally…a way through the stage of grief nobody prepared you for
A psychologist-developed program for widows who’ve been trying to start life again after the loss of their person, but feel lost and unsure of how or where to begin
Real-life guidance from someone who has lived widowhood.
BECAUSE SURVIVING WAS NOT MEANT TO BE THE END OF YOUR STORY
You’ve survived the weeks, the months, and perhaps even the years that you once didn’t think it was possible to get through.
People tell you you’re “doing well”, and in many ways they’re right. The overwhelming grief that was there in the first year or so has (mostly) passed. Life has reorganised itself into something that (mostly) works.
You’re parenting. Working. Caring for ageing parents. Doing what needs to be done…and yet…
There’s a flatness in you. A sense of moving through the days rather than genuinely choosing them.
From the outside, it looks like life is working again, but from the inside it can feel hollow, and like you’re just “going through the motions”.
You’re surviving. But you’re not yet fully living.
DOES ANY OF THIS SOUND FAMILIAR?
A self-paced, psychologist-written program for widows who are ready to start rebuilding a life they didn’t expect to be living
Practical strategies to help you re-discover who you are now, re-imagine your life’s new plan, and help you move forward while still honouring your person
The losses that came after the loss…
the ones nobody prepares you for, and nobody else seems to see – these are the ones that impact rebuilding most; this section shows you how to finally name them and work through them
A practical approach for working out who you are now, not who you were, or who you are supposed to become… we use your own values as a compass, not anyone else’s expectations
How to keep connection and carry your person with you as you build a life that’s genuinely yours (without being held back by guilt, and without leaving them behind)
Why imagining your future feels so hard after widowhood, and the practical steps for starting to do it anyway… because merely surviving was not meant to be the end of your story
Recorded content you can pause and revisit as often as you like, so nothing’s ever missed and nothing’s rushed
Audio versions of every video, plus exercises, guided visualisations, and quieter pieces of companionship and company…ready whenever you need them, wherever you are
Every module includes its own guided prompts and reflective exercises, built to help that module’s content take shape in your own life… all presented in a beautifully designed downloadable workbook
The self-paced format of the program means:

Hi! I’m Tasha – a dual endorsed clinical psychologist and educational/developmental psychologist with more than two decades of experience in grief, loss and major life transitions. I was also widowed young, with two small children.
My clinical experience and my life experience are why this program exists.
The truth is, when I was in the Drift Zone myself I had clinical training and access to research and resources that most widows in my position don’t have. I understood, theoretically, emotionally and neurobiologically what was happening to me. I could name the psychological processes, trace the mechanisms, and describe in precise terms why I was experiencing what I was experiencing.
And still, I was completely stuck.
What I needed wasn’t more information. What I needed was someone to take everything I already knew and everything I was living and help me organise it into a clear, grounded and, structured path.
That is what Life Reimagined: A Widow’s Guide to Rebuilding After Loss is… A program built at the intersection of clinical knowledge and lived experience. Not theory delivered from a distance, but a genuine path to rebuilding, created by someone who has sat where you are sitting.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts, Post Grad. Diploma in Counselling, a Post Grad. Diploma in Psychology, Honours in Psychology, and Masters of Educational and Developmental Psychology (yes, I love to learn). I’m a dual AHPRA-endorsed clinical psychologist and educational and developmental psychologist, and am a board-approved psychology supervisor. I’ve worked in community, mental health, school, hospital and private practice settings (I also love my work).
Most importantly, I’m mum to two incredible teenagers that I feel so lucky to get to do life and have adventures with…and boy, do we have some adventures.
Individual therapy involves sharing your own story with a psychologist who gets to know your background and gives you guidance built specifically around you, over an ongoing relationship. Life Reimagined works differently. It’s a self-paced, structured programme grounded in psychological research and clinical understanding, built to share tools and insight that apply broadly to widowhood, rather than being shaped around your individual circumstances.
The program is psychoeducation, not psychological therapy, and joining it does not create a psychologist-client or other therapeutic relationship.
If you feel you need more personalised support, please speak to your treating health practitioner.
Life Reimagined is designed for the stage of grief where the intensity has begun to settle, and you’re ready to start rebuilding, even if you’re not always sure how. It may not be the right fit for you just yet if:
If any of this sounds like where you’re at with your grief at the moment, I’d suggest starting with individualised guidance and support from a registered psychologist or other professional who can support you more specifically through the stage you’re in….this program will stay open and you’ll be able to join when you’re ready for it in the future
Readiness is not a fixed state. Many widows who start this work are not sure whether they are ready, but find that taking the first steps we cover in the program is what creates readiness.
Grief does not need to be completely absent for you to start rebuilding (we talk about this in section one of the course – grief and rebuilding can – and must – coexist). However if you are finding it difficult to get through the day because of grief then you may benefit from individualised support from a professional before commencing this course.
The program is self-paced, which means you can start slowly, pause when you need to, and work at exactly the pace your life and your grief allow. There is no expected timeline and no right way to move through the material.
Yes, absolutely! Readiness is not defined by how long ago your loss occurred… it is defined by where you are in your own experience of rebuilding.
Some women recognise themselves in this material within the first year or two post loss…others find it speaks to something that has been quietly present for much longer, without ever having had language attached to it.
If the description of functioning-but-not-fully-living resonates with you, then the program is relevant.
No. My webinar, “The Drift Zone: The Unnamed Stage of Widowhood”, provides the conceptual foundation for the Drift Zone concept we discuss in this program and an introduction to the program, it is not necessary to have watched it prior to commencing the program.
It likely will – and that is completely normal. The program gives guidance and tools for when grief arrives, and the workbook is designed to hold that experience with care. You move at your own pace, and you take the space you need.
If any of the course content raises strong emotions that cause concern please discuss this with your treating practitioner or seek individualised support (a list of potential supports in your country can be found through www.findahelpline.com)
There’s a range of support out there for widows, much of it really valuable.
Many grief coaches bring genuine lived experience and the empathy that comes with it…Many academics and grief specialists bring real depth on the theory and the neurobiology of loss.
I sit across both of those… I’m a registered clinical psychologist and educational/developmental psychologist with over twenty years clinical experience, and I was also widowed young. My clinical training and experience gives the programs I write their structure, and the lived experience means I know what it actually feels like.
The course is built across four sections, and most people find each one takes roughly one to two hours to work through, including the workbook exercises and reflections.
How you move through those four sections is entirely up to you; some people work through steadily over a few weeks, others take it slowly across many months, picking it back up whenever life allows.
You have access to the course for the lifetime of the product (a minimum of two years), so there is no pressure to rush through it or finish by a particular date.
This course is designed to be entirely self-paced and as such there is no live contact with Tasha. Purchasing the course does not create a psychologist-client relationship.
I don’t currently take new individual clients, which is why I’ve created this course to share tools and support to help guide you through.
This program is designed for widows who are past the initial, really intense phase of grief. If you are functioning in daily life and feel ready to do some deeper exploration of how to rebuild your life after loss this is designed for you.
